Personalization, recommendation engines, predicting user behavior are all important challenges in the E-commerce industry; however, even straightforward and direct margin-impacting items like predicting inventory, sales and customer transactions is a key criterion for e-commerce players betting on high volume, low-margins.
Solution:
Using historic time-series data, DataLens has worked on use cases of forecasting volume of inventory, sales and customer transactions. Collating data from multiple (inventory & sales ), we used forecast models to predict future volumes, thus providing business the insights to focus on.
Results:
Customer (business) team was able to focus, prepare for and deliver better customer experience, and margins in the right areas.
